In order for the server service and client computer to communicate unhindered, the firewall on the server must usually be configured accordingly. Otherwise, the user will receive an error message similar to this one:
"Could not connect to net.tcp://[Servername]:8010/lexiCan/secure/Projects. The connections attempt lasted for a time span of x. TCP error code 10060. Ein Verbindungsvesuch ist fehlgeschlagen, da die Gegenstelle nach einer bestimmten Zeitspanne nicht richtig reagiert hat, oder die hergestellteVerbindung war fehlerhaft, da der verbundene Host nicht reagiert hat [Server-IP]:8010."
In such a case you must use the firewall rule (Incoming rule) to ensure that the application "lexiCanServices.exe" in the installation folder of the server is accessible via the TCP protocol and port 8010.
